Afterfive years, two albums, a split 7" single with ONSIND, many humblingsupport slots, a couple of botched "tours", a slog down the countrywith Frank Turner, three dates in New York, some good press, some badpress, and more sketchy DIY CD-R releases than I could ever keep trackof (sorry about those), I am winding up Short Term Effect.

Orrather I would be, but it'd be pretty difficult to break up withmyself, so really I'm just retiring the moniker. I'm certainly notthrough with "solo" stuff . I've got a handful of unheard recordings onmy computer along with a few cassette tapes full of finished /unfinished songs and ideas I'm still excited about that I'd like torelease in some capacity before too long.

I wouldconsider Short Term Effect to be a punk rock outfit. Should youdisagree, it's either because you've got a substantial amount ofhomework to do or I wasn't trying hard enough.

SO! It's May and we have a new record out. It's Imperial Can's album. It's called "Hey Fuckers" and you can get it by emailing discounthorse@riseup.net.

It features 15 songs about fuckers, friends, building community and the end of the world. If you like Ghost Mice, check it out. If you like the Misfits check it out. Imperial Can is a punk band.

Fashanu, Imperial Can and ONSIND toured last month and we had the best time ever. Everyone stayed in their clothes and nobody threw up. The Crab Campaign was a sucess.

I don't know much about this, I know it's Spoonboy, but I still don't know what to expect. Spoonboy comes from Washington D.C and I met him last year when he played at Alan's (Alan's is a house in Durham where some punks like to have shows) and his songs may have changed my life a little bit. That's why DH is doing this record, regardless.
